Does DBHDD have plans to increase funding for the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse (GCSA) and the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network (GMHCN) warm lines?

Georgia has been a leader nationally in including the voice of lived experience in its recovery programs. As the call volume increases during the rollout of 988, DBHDD will continue to be highly invested in the availability and capacity of peer warm lines and peer involvement in the crisis continuum. As additional funding is made available to expand our crisis system, we will consider the expansion of peer warm lines as part of our capacity building efforts.
