How will DBHDD partner with school systems as 988 rolls out?

University systems are included as one of the partners serving high-risk and diverse populations currently being engaged through our 988 Community Partners Workgroup. DBHDD continues to monitor national guidance related to messaging and communications, including targeted messaging for special populations, such as youth and young adults. As the national guidance on messaging continues in 2024, we will consider how best to partner with schools on 988 education. DBHDD has strong existing partnerships with the K-12 system through the APEX program and School-based Mental Health internship program and are leveraging these partnerships to share information about 988.
