The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), the Georgia 988 Steering Committee, and the Georgia 988 Community Partners Coalition are pleased to offer a comprehensive suite of free training resources for a wide range of audiences. Participants can register for live virtual trainings offered in partnership with the University System of Georgia, complete interactive on-demand trainings at their own pace, or access video-based trainings designed to build awareness, skills, and confidence in using the 988 Lifeline.

Reporting on Suicide: Strategies and Standards
Strictly for professional journalists and journalism instructors, this 75-minute certificate course covers best practices for reporting on suicide, mental health, and substance use with accuracy, empathy, and care. Complete each section at your own pace, and earn your certificate by scoring at least 80% on the final assessment, ensuring you have the guidelines and self-care strategies to navigate these sensitive topics responsibly.
