Georgia’s DBHDD is reaching out to HBCUs across the state to empower Black students with vital mental health resources. By raising awareness of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, we’re helping the next generation thrive, one campus at a time.

Supporting the Future

Starting Conversations, Ending Stigmas

To further engage students and promote awareness, we created custom t-shirts, tote bags, and hats featuring messaging that normalizes discussions around mental health. These items were thoughtfully designed to resonate with students, combining eye-catching designs with a meaningful purpose. The messaging highlights that it’s okay to not be okay and emphasizes that anyone, at any time, could be facing mental health challenges. By distributing these items, we aim to break down stigmas, spark conversations, and remind students that help through the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is always available.

We invite you to download the design files to create your own t-shirts, hats, and tote bags, and join us in spreading the message that mental health matters. By sharing these meaningful designs, you can help spark conversations, normalize the discussion around mental health, and remind others that support is always available through the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

In 2023, the CDC reported that suicide among Black youth, ages 10-24, rose significantly over a 3-year period.

These impactful videos were created to address the rising mental health challenges faced by Black youth. Each video speaks directly to students, offering a compassionate reminder that the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is here to provide support for mental health concerns. By fostering a sense of connection and breaking down barriers to seeking help, these videos aim to empower students to reach out for the support they need. Share these messages to help spread awareness and show students they’re never alone.
