Should we be dropping any messaging for MyGCAL and that number or continue to promote with 988?

Georgia is continuing to use both 988 and GCAL (1-800-715-4225) as options for Georgians to reach out in a crisis when experiencing a crisis related to suicidal thoughts, behavioral health, or an intellectual/developmental disability. 988 is an easy-to-remember number that we hope continues to encourage greater access, while GCAL is an existing number many Georgians and providers are already familiar with. We will continue to use both numbers and respond to calls from 988 and GCAL.

Moving forward, we are only promoting 988 for calls and texts and 988lifeline.org for chat.
