How should providers determine and communicate if an individual should call 988 or the Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL)?

We are primarily promoting 988 for all calls and texts and 988lifeline.org for all chats. For behavioral health professionals and first responders, we have created a detailed information sheet about the subtle differences in contacting 988 versus GCAL. If needed, providers can contact Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL) at 1-800-715-4225 directly and inform individuals that they can continue to reach out to GCAL for support and supportive services.
