988 Materials For First Responders
A MESSAGE FROM DBHDD COMMISSIONER
As Commissioner of Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) and a former law enforcement officer, I recognize the vital role our state’s First Responders play in our communities.
In DBHDD’s ongoing efforts to enhance crisis intervention and mental health support, we are sharing resources related to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline—to provide immediate assistance to those in mental health crises.
Below, you will find an overview of 988 and wallet cards for you and for the members of the public you encounter in your day-to-day work.
Our goal is to foster a strong partnership between DBHDD, First Responders, and 988, creating a unified network of support. Thank you for your dedication to Georgia and the safety of our communities.
We look forward to our continued collaboration.
— Commissioner Kevin Tanner
